I was scrolling through Instagram (as I usually am) and I follow @yagala.  I saw her do this thing where she took an image from a magazine and turned it into nail wraps.  I thought it was so cool, so I did the obvious and tried it for myself.  Then I did a little extra and created this awesome mani.  Here’s how.

What you need:

  • A Magazine clipping of an image of your choice
  • Water
  • Tweezers
  • Make-Up Sponge
  • Base and Top coat

Polishes Used:

  • Butter London – Slapper
  • Butter London – Cheeky Chops
  • Essie – After School Boy Blazer
  • L’Oreal – I Will!

Step 1: Choose your image and put a topcoat on it.  When the top coat dries you want to cut the image in to the shape of your nail.  Then soak the image in water for about 30 minutes.

Step 2: After 30 minutes, on the other side of the image, gently scrape off the wet paper with your tweezers or whatever you prefer to use.

Step 3: After applying the base coat, apply your white polish.

Step 4: When you apply your image to your nails, you what your nails to be wet so the image will stick.  My polish dried a bit so I put top coat on it.  You take your tweezers and gently place the image onto your nails and use a bit of remover to get rid of the excess.

Step 5: Then you do the gradient on the rest of your nails.  Place your colors on your make-up sponge and sponge on your colors until they blend together the way you like.

Step 6: Do a bit of clean up as needed then put on your top coat and your done.
