Product Review: Kiss Acrylic Nail Kit

A few days ago I bought this Kiss Acrylic Nail Kit from my local drugstore.  I’ve been wanting to try acrylic nails to see if I could do it myself. So I am not a professional by any means.  I’d thought I’d share my thoughts on this product.  First off, considering what’s included the price wasn’t bad, it was about $12.00 after tax.  The items that come in the kit is Acrylic Powder, Acrylic Liquid, Nail Glue, a small brush, a nail file, wooden stick, nail tips, and French nail tips.  I haven’t tried out the French tips yet but I pretty sure they’re the same as the regular ones.  The nail tips are pretty easy to apply and they’re of good quality.

BEWARE: when you open the Acrylic Liquid, you will soon find out why the nail shops smell the way they do.  It has an extremely strong odor.  The only thing that I’d say would be annoying is after you apply the acrylic you can see the line of the nail tip through the acrylic.  It didn’t bother me too much because I knew that I was going to coat my nails in polish, but if you want the natural look, you’re going to want to buy some nail tips that are shaped differently so that line would not show up.  Otherwise, I think this product is awesome.  You can do it yourself at home for way cheaper, than constantly going to the nail shop.  You could get a long wear from these nails and I recommend it to anyone who is willing to try acrylic nails.

Here’s how my nails turned out.

Polishes Used:

  • Button London – Cotton Buds
  • Essie – Fiji
  • China Glaze – Fairy Dust
