Dots & Daisies

I was feeling something cutesy, floral and just adorable.  Those three words perfectly describe this easy dotticure.  Here’s how I achieved this mani.

Items Needed:

  • Top Coat
  • Base Coat
  • Dotting Tool/ Toothpick

Polishes Used:

Step 1: After applying your base coat, put two coats of pink polish to your pinky, lavender to your index finger and sheer pink polish to your ring and middle fingers.

f

Step 2: Then, on your index finger make three dots down the middle of your nail using your pink polish.

f1

Step 3: On each side of the three dots, make a line of three more dots, but make sure the dots are next to the spaces between the dots that are in the middle of your nail.

f2

Step 4: Do step 2 & 3 on your pinky finger, but use the lavender polish for your dots.

f3

Step 5: On your middle finger, use the lavender polish and make a group of dots to form the shape of a flower. Create multiple flower shapes on your nail (since I have short nails, I only did three).  Make sure they’re randomly placed on your nail, but don’t cover all of your nail.

f4

Step 6: On the same nail, make some pink flower shapes in the empty spaces.

f5

Step 7:  If you want, you can add a few more purple or pink dot to the perimeter of your nail to make the pattern look continuous.  Then, with your yellow polish, put one yellow dot in the middle of each flower.

f6

Step 8: Repeat steps 5-7 on your ring finger.

f7

Step 9: This step is optional, but you can apply a fine glitter topcoat to give your nails a little sparkle.

f8

Step 10: Apply your favorite top coat and you’re all done!
